 Synthroid is synthetic product and has only T4. It is given in a hope T4 will convert to T3 which is the thyroid product mostly works for cell metabolism.
 It T3 is not provided , patients will remain hypothyroid along with all it's serious consequences to every cell and every organ of the body. If a patient has conversion from T4 to T3 problem, his/her T3 will stay low and this could put patient to the danger of Thyroid efficiency. In addition normal thyroid produces many other substances like T2 , diuretic substance etc. . Giving Synthroid will deprive body from all these natural thyroid substances.
 Giving Armour thyroid or Nature Thyroid will avoid most of these problems. Alternatively giving T4/ T3 mixture will provide both T4 and T3 and will eliminate deficiency state.
